Opps, this title sounds
like the show of tv program, isn’t it?
13th
of May is the second day of my work as a part timer in a shop in Midvalley.
(not suitable to mention its’ name here)
(I was finding job since a few weeks ago, but I can’t Malaysia , where
even get a job, sound sad, isn’t it? Maybe this reflects the situation in
Malaysians are getting harder and harder to find a job, so, they will be
unemployed or jobless. Finally, the numbers of crimes will increa
for going too far again)
It
is Sunday, a day where its’ customers was never stop coming in the shop.
It
is incredible!
This
is first time I work with a shop/outlet/company that its’ business is so good
until I’ve no chance to take rest, or even take a deep breath.
I
was tasked to guard the entrance of shop.
My
job is greeting customers who come in and go out from the shop.
Sometimes,
I will have to fold the clothes that had been messed-up by the customers.
As
now, we are having 50% sales. So, all the customers will not miss the chance to
find out the nice but reasonable price items for them to “change” the design of
their wardrobe.
Eh…
After bla, bla, bla… for so long, I think it’s the time to start my story regarding
to the title. What I said in the very beginning is just want to imagine the
condition or background of this story…
Can
imagine it already?
K,
here we go…
I
will start my story with this conversation with an unidentified
girl/lady/woman. (As what I said just now, I was unable to identify her
identity, so I am not sure how to call her. But I just know that she is a
female customer who came in the shop for window shopping)
She
was walking out from the shop. She is with long and curly hair, like the famous
hair style recently. She too highlights it (one of the way to make some parts
of hair to be in golden color or any others colors like red or blown). So, it
is no harm if I “titled” her as modern woman, as she is
about 40 in ages. (But, the technology is very advance and well developed now,
including the cosmetic tech, so who know; maybe she is 50 or 60 now?)
But, I have to clarify
that I am not hate or dislike her. K, here is our conversation:
The woman walked out arrogantly
from my shop with a black color handbag on her shoulder of her right hand.
“Thank you and happy
mother’s day” I greeted.
She walked a few steps
out from my shop. Just a few steps from my left hand side.
She looked back at me
and said: “How you know I am a mother? Am I looked like a mama?”
I felt shocked and my
mind just can’t connect well, as I really don’t know how to respond to what she
had said.
“Er… I mean everyone
is celebrating mother’s day” I responded to her.
She said nothing and
maybe not satisfies with my answer. Lastly, she walked away.
That time, I start
asking myself, am I doing mistake by greeting others “Happy Mother’s Day”?
Should I continue to do so (Greeting other customers with this warmly wish)?
Will other customers also respond like that?
But, in other cases, Malaysia for traveling. Or the pregnant women that just came out from the shop. Or the
there are a few customers responded to my greeting differently. Especially the
foreign customers who came
old women that visited my shop with their family. I think they felt happy to be
greeted that way, as mother’s day is so meaningful for them.
On the other hand, some
customers didn’t respond to me. They just walked out, without respond, even
with a smile. This happen especially on Malaysians’ customers. Are Malaysians become
cooler and cooler? They don’t know how to reply a greeting like saying thank
you or even reply with a smile? So poor, Malaysians! (I am not desire other to
say thank you, but it’s a courtesy by saying thank you when people wishing us
right, isn’t it?)
In other case, it is a
sms within my friend and me.
I know her in USM, a
girl that I start to know her during I was joining the Radioactive (DJ’s
competition).
She is my junior, taking
mass communication in USM.
Again, I am not going to
reveal her name here, to protect her privacy.
This is my sms to her:
Remember who is the
person who fed you the first meal?
Remember what is the
first word that you called?
Ya, is “mama”
So, wishing you and your
mum Happy Mama’s Day.
This was what she
replied (I change a bit her sms, but what she wants to express is just like
this):
… This is the first time
I was greeted “Happy Mother’s Day”… and I felt shocked…
(She means she is not
yet a mother, and wondering why I wished her Happy Mother’s Day?)
So, from the two
examples above, I can conclude that our concept over mother’s day is not
correct. For me, Mother’s day should be celebrated by everyone, not only
mothers are the person to celebrate mother’s day.
Who grew us up?
Who fed us the first
meal and continue to feed us until the day we know how to feed ourselves?
Who always try their
best to protect us gave/gives us their support over everything we are dealing
with?
Who never leave us alone
at the darkness without caring about us?
Is her, our mum, our
lovely mum!
So, mother is not the
only person who will celebrate mother’s day.
We as a son/daughter
have to remember this.
We are the person that
should pay back their kindliness.
We should be the person
that will protect them, until the day they leave us.
It sounds sad, we have
to accept the reality that, they are going to leave us pne day.
So, we should never miss
a chance to pay back their kindliness.
Remember that, giving
them money is not the best way.
Just like typical essay
writing, we will complaint that:
… Parents who are too
materialistic, who only know how to earn money and think that money is the only
way to satisfy their children’s need are contributing to the increasing numbers
of cases where teenagers involved in social problem…
You still remember these
typical sentences that you wrote in your essay? (I am one of them who wrote
this in my essay, I admit it)
So, the same thing
happens to us and our parents soon. (the day when our parent getting old)
And the case will
become:
… Children who are too
materialistic, who only know how to earn money and think that money is the only
way to satisfy their parents’ need are contributing to the increasing numbers
of cases where a lot of old people was neglected and sent to old folk houses …
Are you agreeing with
this statement?
The best way is love
them, take care of them.
Just like our condition
now and before, we desire their care and love.
Don’t ever miss the
chance to love and care about them.
So that, we will not
regret after all.
“Happy belated Mother’s
Day” and “Happy be’earlier’ Father’s Day” to my parents and all of you who are
reading my blogs.

Spider-Man 3
Today, just in the morning I had the chance to
watch this “sounded” fantastic and can’t be missed movie! But, it is really
nice, and I fell contented to pay RM7 (early bird show) for this movie. How it
nice?
It is a movie that cost around two and half hour
and I swear that I never leave my seat during this movie, as I was not able to
leave my seat – the movie attracted me so well!
(I am a “banyak kencing” guy, where I always need to pee, even during
exam that is only one hour, I will go out for toilet, not for smoking for sure,
but for peeing, at least once! It is my uncontrolled “habit”, you may think
that it is troubling, but, what I can do? But, recently, a lovely mother of my
friend, she sent me to see Chinese doctor, and I was given some traditional
herbs. According to her mum, I am having some sort of “diseases” that attacking
my bladder, sound terrify isn’t it?)
Sorry, for going too far, again! (I am always
having this habit, I am afraid that, it might affect my teaching lesson next
time, because I will always out of topic. Opps, again, I was going too far,
sorry.)
…… I found that I am having problem in writing a good blog in this
topic, I mean I am so poor in English, as I am facing problem to explain and
describe the best of this movie. I mean I’m lack of vocabulary for writing a
description about this good movie! I did
think to write this blog (about Spider-man 3) in mandarin at first, but, for a
very important reason, I write it in English – Most of us can read English
language, aren’t you? Anyway, I will try my best to write about this movie, so
that more and more people didn’t loss the good chance for watching a fantastic
movie like Spider-man 3……
K, what are the main issues/lessons brought to me through Spider-man 3?
1) Decision
making
Peter Pakler, the main character in this story (sorry,
if it is wrong in spelling, anyway, I will use Peter after this) have to decide either he want to be a normal
spider-man (in red-blue) with a “weaker” power or be a bad one (in black
color), but with a stronger body. It is very trouble him, at least he was
confusing what to choose. I did wish he read my blog that I post a few days
ago, in the topic “Making Decision – Decision Making”. It might help him to
make decision. (Aiyo, why I am promoting my other blog here?) But, a hero will
always be a hero, a good one! He made a decision to throw this “bad-spirit”
away; even he did misuse this spirit two times in this movie – when he want to
take revenge on the murder who killed his uncle after robbing a bank At the
second case, he misused the extra bad power on his best friend, Harry as he
“snatched” his girl friend, Marry Jane (MJ). It was all about taking revenge, a
kind of “poisoned” feeling, according to aunt May, aunt of Peter.
In this case, there is an issue arisen – Are we
supposed to take revenge? Some will say that, the bad person who done the
mistake especially who hurt us should be punished. Are you one of them? I
admitted I was one of them, I always with this principle, I believed and agreed,
and maybe it is just because I am Libraian, where the people in this horoscope
will always look for fairness and balance. But, this meaningful movie reminds
me that, taking revenge is just a poisoned feeling, it will bring suffer to us.
A long term suffers, as our emotion will not stable when we start to plan for
revenge, after revenge, we might contented for a very short moment, but after
all, what we get? An empty soul.
Harry, on the other hand, too had confused either
he should take revenge on Peter or not, as Harry believed that, Peter is the
one who killed his father, his only relative. Peter is his friend, should he do
such an action just for his dad? But, Peter killed his dad, he should be punished, aren’t him?
2) Critic
VS Praise
“You said the word -
Great” MJ was so happy when she gets the positive feed back from her boyfriend,
Peter – “you are so great”. But, on the other hand, there are so many papers
critic on her show. “She is beautiful, but with small voice”. Her emotion was
fussed by this critic, she felt hurt, but she has no chance share this unhappy
with Peter. She was unemployed just because of this critic, poor MJ.
For me, we have to take
the critic as a force that drives us farer. Should not unhappy or fall down
just because of the critics. Take it easy, think positively that, there is
still a person who wants us to improve, by critic us. Maybe, the way they talk
to us might hurt us, but, come to the basic, the critic us just because they
are seeking our improvement. We are still lucky compared to the drug addicts
who live meaninglessly in the dark and dirty streets. Who care for them? Who
will dare to talk to them, to critic them face to face? Appreciate and be
thankful for the positive critic, believe me, no harm to do so. Then, look for
improvement for ourselves.
While MJ was critic by
the media and lost her lovely job, Peter on the other side, is getting
commendation (praise). He is the superhero for all the New
York’s residents, not only the kids, but all the people in New York. His spidey
face is in all the newspapers, his name is appearing in the big screen of New York’s streets, his
stories became the topic of discussion among American. Peter was so happy. He
satisfied as what he done was recognized by others. Who will not in happy mode
when being praised?
We was trained by the
“good then reward, bad then punish” system. A lot of educators claimed that
this is an effective way to educate our kids. I am not totally agree with this,
just like Peter’s case, he became so proud of himself after a long period of
being praised. He willing to kissed his lab mate, a beautiful and sexy girl as
asked by the public, without consider about the feeling of his girlfriend, MJ.
At that moment he kissed the girl, he just know that, this request cannot be
rejected, since he is the best ever hero. You may say that he done nothing
wrong by kissing his lab mate, but, who know, Peter might do some other things
that just in the purpose to satisfy his desire to become more popular in the
society?
3) Forgiveness
This is an
important values that should be “grown” in our mind and body from the day we
born. A bit incredible, I know. But, it’s true, without forgiveness you can’t
be happy! Why I say so? There are so my cases happened to me, where somebody
argued/ angered at me, somebody hurt me by saying out some dirty words,
somebody doing some bad things on me. I try and I will accept it. What for I
angry or sad or unhappy with them? Feel uncomfortable with all such things are
wasting the spaces in my heart. They didn’t worth to be kept in my heart!
Not means that I will let him/her continue
to “abuse” me. I will stand up for my right too!
They are people
who are seeking our forgiveness too. Just like Sandman in the movie, he asked
Spiderman to forgive him as he killed his uncle. His lovely uncle died after
shoot by Sandman’s gang after robbing the bank. Spiderman know his situation at
last and forgave him as Sandman needs the money to cure his daughter.
Peter
brought his lab mate, the sexy girl to the pub where MJ works with. He dances
with the girl in front of MJ. He wants to break her feeling there. MJ felt
shock with her boyfriend’s way of treating her. But, MJ forgave Peter at last,
she knows Peter is a good person and he love her.
Spiderman forgave
Sandman for his mistake. MJ forgave Peter for his wrong doing. Malays have the
culture – “saling maaf-bermaafan” (forgive and ask for forgiveness) during
Raya. I will forgive those who hurt me. Will you the next person who forgive
other?
I think, that was the
three
issues that reach my mind. There might be more issues or lessons that I leave
over. You know it? Don’t be shy, just share with me, write it down in the
message form for this blog. You are warmly welcomed!
This movie is not just
action kind of movie, the writer and the directors put in so many elements in
this movie. Including funny, love and education elements. So, what category
should I categorize Spider-man 3? An action-comedy-romantic-education movie, I
think.
Lastly, let me rate this movie with the 5 stars
rating system.
Spider-man
3 - * * * * *
No doubt, it is a 5 stars movie, I really like it.
Hope you can catch up this 4 thumbs up movie. (Haha, don’t feel strange of this
description, I have no 4 hands for sure, but I use the thumbs of my legs to do
so!) Really a good movie. And now, I am looking forward the coming big and well
known movies- Harry Potter and The Pirate of the Carribean. I am getting impatient to watch them in the cinema. O ya, remember that, you
should only support the original but not the pirated DVD. Just watch them out
in the cinema, a wonderful place to watch movie where they offer the big screen
and good sound system too! Remember to bring your student card to get discount!
It is our right as a student.

Why there is no people want
to leave a message (comment) on our blog?
Here I come out with some
reasons (will it reasonable? Just up to the way you judge on it and your points
of view)
1) Busy, and have no chance to read other blog. Just like my case, I was too
busy with my assignments and study in USM, but now, until now, I have the
chance to blog, as I am now having my holiday… So, I am now having the chance
to crag around.
2) I think, the people are
enjoying downloading songs, movies or chatting rather than spending their time
to blog and write a nice blog to be commented.
3) No WiFi / Streamyx or online service. So, no chance to online… Even there
are a lot of cyber cafes (CC) around us, but, who will pay for the service of
CC and putting "nonsense" (I mean message/comment) on our blog? Is
better to "full use" the cost that had been paid to CC, right?
4) Malaysians are not good readers. They just read 2 books annually
(averagely, this statistic was revealed by a survey conducted recently) . So, will any
"hardworking" Malaysian read other’s blogs. And put message/comments?
(reading are the way to improve our writing skill! If we didn’t read, how can
we write a message/comments?)
5) No quality blog (Maybe,
my blog also categorized in this group - no quality blog). Who will waste their
time to read a low quality blog? (So, it’s the time for me to review myself,
looking for improvement
)
Anyway, I would like THANK those who
read and leave message on other’s blog (my blog, especially). Thank you, dude!
Reminded that, reading is the best way to improve our mind/thinking.
