I am now, "free". "Free" from the pledge I had made. (Being vegetarian)

Ya, I mean I can take meat now.
Opps, it sounds bad ya! ;-(
But, I will try not to.

In fact, being vegetarian has forced me to lead a healthier lifestyle. Why I say so?

My parents are not totally agree with me to be a vegetarian. For them, taking meat is a must to have sufficient of nutrients.

Thus, I’ve to prove to them and not to make them afraid about my health condition.

I’ve to make sure that, I am healthy enough and not to fall sick.

For this purpose, I try to exercise as frequent as I could. I go to swim. & I plan to go to gym soon. ;-)

Read a book regarding Nutrition. And try to eat as healthier as I could.

I start to take milk, cereal, vitamin C.

Haha…

Being vegetarian has changed my lifestyle.

A healthier lifestyle.

Why people do not turn off the light (or other electric appliances)?

Turn_off_lights

1) Lazy and being ignorance.

2) Afraid of getting electric shock? (We’re being taught that, we should not turn off the switch if our hands are wet)

3) Afraid of darkness? Want the toilet, room and corridor always be bright as there might be ghost (or bad spirit) appear in dark…

I feel funny with the reasons I stated on the top.;-)

How to overcome this?

1) Self-awareness is the most crucial element in everyone of us. We need to have the mindset that, we should not waste the electricity. Thus, it’s related to how we’re educated.

2) There is no medicine for those who are lazy. As laziness is the most incurable disease. Please don’t be lazy and being ignorance in term of switching off the light!

Switch_off_light2

3) Well, we can use our elbow to turn of the switch if our hands are wet. Be creative. ;-)

4) Should we blame the ghost movies/ stories which embed the thought “the bad spirit will appear in darkness”? Nevertheless, pointing finger on other merely not a solution.

Please turn off the light when you leave your room, the loo, lecture hall. (whenever there is nobody using it)

Proves_of_gw1

There are environment activists trying to shout out us that "The earth is getting warmer now". Believe it or not?

BEING VEGETARIAN

Ya, after attended a camp organized by Tzu Ji, I pledged to
be vegetarian for at least 1 week. I am now in my 7th day being
vegetarian.

Why it is important to be vegetarian?

1st, every creature have its right to live. When
we want eat them, we are taking their life.

2nd, Cows for examples, will release a big amount
of methane (CH4) gas after they digested their food. Methane gas is
having the heat trapping property 22 - 23 times more compared to CO2.

******************************************************************************

When we want to eat the beef -> there is a demand -> there will be people (farmers)
rear the cows -> more methane
gases will be emitted -> Global
Warming.

When we refuse to eat beef -> there is no demand -> there will be nobody wants to rear
them for business purposes (not mean to abandon the cows anyway) ->  no methane gas from cows -> save the earth from global warming (at least, a bit of the
effort)

******************************************************************************

But, I’ve to stress that, being
vegetarian should be an enjoyable process and not a burden to yourself and those
around.

In my case, I DO NOT MIND IF MY
FRIENDS EAT MEAT in front of me. Going to a stall/ restaurant which are not for
vegetarian… I DO NOT MIND! I feel sad when my friend planned to go for Bak Kut
Teh, and not to invite me with them as they think that it’s a kind of
disrespect. Nevertheless, for me, it’s ok, I like to be together. I like to
take meal with friends as it is just like having family around. I like that
feeling! ;-)

P/s: I can take vege while others taking their meat. Doesn’t
matter. ;-)
