There are environment activists trying to shout out us that "The earth is getting warmer now". Believe it or not?

BEING VEGETARIAN

Ya, after attended a camp organized by Tzu Ji, I pledged to
be vegetarian for at least 1 week. I am now in my 7th day being
vegetarian.

Why it is important to be vegetarian?

1st, every creature have its right to live. When
we want eat them, we are taking their life.

2nd, Cows for examples, will release a big amount
of methane (CH4) gas after they digested their food. Methane gas is
having the heat trapping property 22 - 23 times more compared to CO2.

******************************************************************************

When we want to eat the beef -> there is a demand -> there will be people (farmers)
rear the cows -> more methane
gases will be emitted -> Global
Warming.

When we refuse to eat beef -> there is no demand -> there will be nobody wants to rear
them for business purposes (not mean to abandon the cows anyway) ->  no methane gas from cows -> save the earth from global warming (at least, a bit of the
effort)

******************************************************************************

But, I’ve to stress that, being
vegetarian should be an enjoyable process and not a burden to yourself and those
around.

In my case, I DO NOT MIND IF MY
FRIENDS EAT MEAT in front of me. Going to a stall/ restaurant which are not for
vegetarian… I DO NOT MIND! I feel sad when my friend planned to go for Bak Kut
Teh, and not to invite me with them as they think that it’s a kind of
disrespect. Nevertheless, for me, it’s ok, I like to be together. I like to
take meal with friends as it is just like having family around. I like that
feeling! ;-)

P/s: I can take vege while others taking their meat. Doesn’t
matter. ;-)

i don’t think preventing the global warming is one of the reason to be a vegetarian. it sound weird.
i read the “news” of cows producing methane before, but why don’t the human blame themselves for create even more CO2, why? why the cows being blame? people cut the tree to earn money, so call deforestation, this should be blame; increase of human population even more faster than cow i think, why we don’t stop born new baby to reduce the release of CO2 by human, so many other ways, why we blame on the innocent cow, they don’t know anything, by right we should not eat vege too, because vege transform the CO2 into O2, isn’t it?

Dear Kun,

Stop eating beef doesn’t mean blaming cow as the cause of global warming.

When we know that, it’s something we help to slow down the global warming, why don’t we try?

Well, we point our fingers to those who deforest. I don’t like them too.

But, what I can do?
Stop using paper? A good way, probably.
Kill those “deforesters”?

& stop sex?
Opps, there are condom to be used anyway.
;-) There are lot of ways to help.
Just up to us to choose which one to be taken.

Thanks for your view here. ;-)
P/S: we can keep planting and the vege will be exist to absorb CO2.
